Financial Markets: Increasing Complexity, Maintaining Stability

    The International Financial Congress’s official website has released an extensive business programme with a list of session speakers and moderators.
    The IFC events will be organized in the traditional formats of panel sessions and roundtables. The plenary session ‘Finance for Development’ will be devoted to issues concerning the search for a balance between the objectives of development and ensuring financial stability and the role of central banks in creating conditions for sustainable growth.
    The Congress programme encompasses the problems of all sectors of the financial market: from the development of the banking sector, the pension savings market, and insurance to microfinancing, financial literacy, the development of finance technology and much more.
    The Congress will be attended by Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin, leading international experts such as the JP Morgan Chase International Chairman Jacob Frenkel, Professor of International Economics at Brandeis International Business School Stephen Cecchetti, President of the National Bank of Poland (2010–2016) Marek Belka, the heads of the major banks and financial companies as well as representatives of foreign central banks and international regulators.
    IFC participants will be able to attend the play Anna Karenina at Mariinsky Theatre as part of the cultural programme.
