Olga Sergeeva

Head, Financial Markets Control Department, Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia)

In 2003, graduated with honours from the State University Higher School of Economics with a degree in Law.
On 16 November–15 December 2006, as a part of the TACIS project ‘Alignment of Competition Rules’, she completed an internship at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition.
In December 2007, at the European Studies Institute at MGIMO (U) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, she defended her master’s thesis in Law entitled ‘Antimonopoly regulation of the insurance and banking services market: the Commission’s experience and its applicability in Russia’.
Olga Sergeeva has been working in the antimonopoly authorities since 2003. Prior to joining the FAS Russia, she held the position of a senior specialist of the Department of Antimonopoly Control of the Authorities of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Policy and Support for Small Business (MAP Russia).
2004–2006, senior specialist, later deputy head of the Insurance Market Department of the Agency for Control and Supervision of the Financial Services Market of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia). In March 2006, she took charge of the Banking Services Department in Agency. Since April 2008, she has been overseeing the operations of this department in the position of Deputy Head of the Financial Markets Control Department of the FAS Russia.
