Kirill Pronin graduated from Volga Academy of Public Service with a degree in State and Municipal Management. Before the transition to the Bank of Russia Kirill Pronin held senior positions in the regional offices of the Federal Commission for the Securities Market and the Federal Service for Financial Markets. Kirill Pronin has been working in the Bank of Russia since 2013, having gained managerial experience in various functional divisions. He held the offices of Deputy Head of the Main Branch of the Bank of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Deputy Head of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch. In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Securities Market and Commodity Market Department, in 2018 – Deputy Director of the Insurance Market Department. He was in charge of supervising professional securities market participants, as well as issues related to the development of the insurance market and the introduction of risk-based regulation grounded in the Solvency-2 approaches. He has been holding the post of Director of Collective Investment and Trust Management Department since 15 May 2018.
