Lyudmila has been working in research for 20 years. For the last 12, she has been leading research on the financial behaviour and financial culture of the population. She is an expert on the behaviour and attitudes of the population with regards to investment, savings, credit, and pensions, on household monetary strategies, financial literacy, well-being, etc. Clients include the Bank of Russia, DIA, the Moscow Exchange, Sberbank, major commercial companies and government agencies.
In 2009, Lyudmila organized a regular monitoring project to measure the inflation expectations and consumer sentiment of the population of the Russian Federation for the Bank of Russia, and this is ongoing.
Prior to project management, she held the position of leading specialist of the analytical department at FOM (1999–2007), analyst at TNS Marketing Information Centre (2003), and the Aurora advertising agency (1997–1999).
In parallel with her research, Lyudmila has taught courses at leading Russian universities (Moscow State University, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation).
Member of the Bank of Russia’s Expert Council on Financial Literacy.
Lyudmila gained a first-class degree from the sociology faculty of Moscow State University and has completed a PhD at the faculty’s graduate school. She has also completed a Master’s degree in sociology at the Moscow School for the Social and Economic Sciences and the University of Manchester.
