Head of Training and Research Centre in Dilijan, Member of the Executive Committee, Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia
Armen Nurbekyan is the head of Central Bank of Armenia’s (CBA) Dilijan Training and Research Centre and Director of the CBA Research Department. In his current role, Mr. Nurbekyan coordinates research activities within the CBA. Prior to this, he worked in the Monetary Policy and Financial Stability departments of the CBA and the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). During his time at the IMF, Nurbekyan worked in the Economic Modeling division, where he was involved in macroeconomic forecasting and research in the fields of monetary policy and the economics of petroleum. His research interests include monetary and macroprudential policies, the economics of petroleum, the transparency of central banks, and issues related to financial dollarization. He has a PhD in Mathematics from Yerevan State University and an MBA from the American University of Armenia.
