Tatiana Ivashkina

Chief Executive Officer, League of Credit Unions – National Union of Credit Cooperatives and Their Associations

Tatiana Ivashkina was born in 1953 in Moscow.
She graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics majoring in Finance and Credit.
Ms Ivashkina has been involved in the credit unions system since 1994. Since 1996, she was elected to various bodies of the League of Credit Unions – National Union of Credit Cooperatives (Audit Commission, Council, Supervisory Board). Since 2012, she has been the CEO of the League of Credit Unions.
She took internships in studying credit union operations in Ireland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Australia, Vietnam, Armenia, and Kazakhstan.
Ms Ivashkina was one of the developers of the first standards for the Union of Credit Cooperatives, took part in various task groups to develop standards for all stages of establishment of the current credit union and microfinancing in Russia.
She was a visiting scholar at Lomonosov Moscow State University teaching a unique course ‘Credit Unions Risk Management’. She holds workshops and consultations on the establishment and operations of credit unions.
Ms Ivashkina is a member of the Council and Vice-President of NAUMIR, a member of the CCI RF Council, a Council member and the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the SRO Cooperative Finance.
Currently, she is a member of the Expert Council under the State Duma Committee on Economy and Regional Development, the Expert Council on Non-Bank Financial and Crediting Organizations under the State Duma Committee on Financial Market, Expert Councils and task groups under the Central Bank.
Ms Ivashkina holds honorary titles of the League of Credit Unions: Excellent Worker, Honoured Specialist, and Veteran of the Russian League of Credit Unions. She also received a badge of honour ‘For the Contribution to the Development of Russian Credit Unions’.
She is a winner of the National Professional Reputation Award for financial experts in the nomination ‘For Personal Contribution to the Development of Microfinancing in Russia’.
She received the Honorary Badge of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Education.
