Vice President, Head of the Depositary Center, Gazprombank
Larisa Azimova was born in 1969 in Moscow.
Graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law, Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1992.
Began her professional life in 1994 at the Securities Department, Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
In 1997–2003 worked for the MICEX Group (Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange Group), starting from the management of the Legal Department of the National Depository Centre. Then, as the Advisor to the CEO of MICEX, provided legal support for MICEX stock and derivatives market operations and actively participated in lawmaking on the part of MICEX.
From 2003–2006 led projects implemented by the Depository Centre in Gazprombank (JSC), including a project on ADR custodian accounting for Gazprom shares.
In 2006–2008 as Deputy Chairman of the Board, National Association of Stock Market Participants (NAUFOR), provided legal and methodological support for the Association’s activities and provided methodological support for a project on the development of qualification requirements for financial market specialists.
In 2008–2017 Larisa Azimova was CEO, Settlement-Depository Company (SDCO (JSC)) where she organised the clearing service for the participants of the Saint-Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX (JSC)) commodity and derivatives markets. She was directly involved in the formation of federal laws ‘On organized trading’ and ‘On clearing, clearing activities and the central counterparty.’
Since 2018 in the position of the Vice President and Head, Depository Centre, Gazprombank (JSC) is responsible for the development of the bank’s depository business, new products and the expansion of its customer base.
